To see the world

I think it´s very easy to get carried away with all exotic places on this earth, longing to be somewhere else, especially at this time of the year. And I also believe that our eyes are often blinded about the beauty of our everyday surroundings because we are so used to it. I went for a walk around Saltö the other day and I guess my senses were more open than normally (or maybe it was just that I walked instead of running and had time to look around). I was stunned by the view. Most days I don´t even reflect over it, but it´s there. And it IS exotic. Does it have to take a tourist with a camera for us to understand the beauty of our everyday surroundings. Maybe it does. At least for me sometimes. Let´s bring more tourists here!

I found a new nice site that I recommend everyone that usually uses Google as their browser start page (and everyone else for that matter) to change your startpage into. www.godstart.se (den är på svenska). The site can be customized and for each click a few cents are donated to charity (if you register you can even choose to what charity you want to raise money for). Two of my old class mates from Lund have been part of developing it.

You kanske wonder varför I skriver in engelska sometimes och in svenska sometimes. I använder whatever jag feel för at the stunden. Vissa things låter better på english och some inte. And jag know att I har at least fem friends som don´t förstår swedish som reads denna blog.
